Paris Hilton, the most famous American socialite, has bought herself a luxurious London home just down the road from Amy Winehouse, the troubled pop star.

The purchase comes after she has been spending a lot of time in the UK, filming her latest reality TV show, Paris Hilton's British Best Friends. Paris is reported to have blown £2m on the 6 bedroom property, which is located in Camden, and according to the Sunday Mirror, Paris plans to spend another £250,000 on improving the property.

The paper was told "Paris started looking for a base when she was last in the U.K. to film her reality show, Paris Hilton's British Best Friend. She wanted lots of room for her friends from L.A. to sleep over."
